tgif

see that sweet little arm along the side of the picture to the left? yeah, that's my boy!
today was so warm and beautiful! notice the bare legs again? and this time i wore them all day. no cheating here.
i'm pretty glad it's friday. i had a great week but i could use a little more rest. i felt pretty bad yesterday but i went to bed early and i have so much more energy today. even though my voice gives out on me every so often. i just think of it as my sexy voice.
so, ask me why i am squealing with delight. what was that? oh, thanks for asking. erin from calivintage has me in her link roundup today! i gasped when i saw my little picture on her blog. super made my day. all of you super make my day. thanks so much for coming to visit me everyday and sharing in this with me. i was thinking just this morning about how i've grown over the last month and half that i've had this blog. i think i have a better handle on what my personal style is, what looks best on me. it's so funny because sometimes i'll take an outfit shot, load the pics on the computer and realize that i cannot possibly go out in public like that. i'll go change and then do the whole thing over again and then i'm satisfied. it's like taking these daily photos helps you to see yourself through someone else's eyes. the camera doesn't lie, as they say. it totally makes me wonder what the heck i was walking around town looking like before i started doing all this! the mind boggles. all that to say, thanks. you guys are the best. you've helped me grow. let's keep going, shall we?

I know what you mean about a blog helping you grow! You deserve every little mention you get. I WANT YOUR SHOES. Seriously, I have been on the lookout for summer wedges, and you know how you always have a mental image of your absolute ideal? THOSE SHOES ARE IT. They would even cover my toes which I am so self-conscious of...

You look great. Love the blues together! And yes, it is fun, hey? It does help one to see oneself more objectively! I can't wait for bare legs here!

ps. It's my jacket. You can't have it. It's bad enough that a year after I got it FIVE other women at my church got the EXACT same one. And then a friend of mine was like: "Oh, it'd be okay if I got it, right?" And I was like: "sure". But really, she was the SIXTH person. So it wasn't that okay!!!! :-) Oh dear, I don't usually have that problem with clothes!!

i totally agree with that! i'll look at photos i just took and wonder what the heck i was thinking when i styled that look. you put it very well though; it's like seeing yourself through someone elses eyes. love this look so much. the little sundress with the denim shirt all wrapped up! it's great. it would look good with some vintage pin up shorts too. :) congrats on the calivintage mention. that's definitely something to be proud of!
