doing a little late night blogging. anyway, i want to say thanks for all the advice on that crazy skirt. i do like it. matt asked me if i did and i said yeah and then i asked him the same question to which he replied 'it's okay.' whatever. i'm going to give it another shot one of these days with something else and if it doesn't fly then i'll be getting rid of her. no reason to keep something if i don't love it, right?
so these shorts used to be pants. or rather sort of capri length trousers. i bought them from old navy thinking i'd love them so much and wear them everyday. well, they are a lower rise and the length was just really throwing me. i couldn't find anything to pair with them. so, being me, i chopped them. now i love them. awesome.

I love how you just hem everything! This look is so perfect cool casual!
Oh, and of course the husband will not be interested in a super long skirt! ;-)
Fantastic job on the shorts. They look great.
most of the time i think capris end up making look dowdy ... i like the idea of chopping them off into shorts!
I love this outfit! Super casual and cute! I've been planning on doing the same thing to a pair of my old slouchy jeans...but I just keep putting it off. Maybe this is the kick in the butt I needed, since your shorts look awesome!
Great job on the shorts. Those shoes are really cute too.
