off the shoulder

i almost didn't take pictures today because of the 30 mph wind we're having today. the weather channel has even put out a wind advisory saying we'll have wind gusts of 45 mph making driving difficult making it easy to lose control of your vehicle. what the what? that is crazy! and believe me i know how rough that is. i ran 6 miles in this wind. yeah, i was exhausted by the end. but on the bright side, i downloaded 'eye of the tiger' the other day and let me just tell you that it is the best running song EVER. i was so pumped up when it came on. i'm sure i looked an idiot running down the street, mouthing the words, and punching the air. especially in my short, flowy shorts. i'm getting into retro running gear and looking for 70s and 80s shorts that are high cut on the leg. yeah, i look a sight.
anyway, i bought this top last week at this really cool store in fayetteville. they sell a bunch of vintage and thrifted clothes. this was in the 80s section. i love the faux lace and the slouchiness of it. it is so super comfy. and it's perfect for today when i'm just doing some catching up around the house. i have to clean in a bit and i've already taken some etsy photos so i need to edit them soon. i'm a busy lady! (not really. i'm actually very lazy, i just like to pretend)

Wind is the absolute worst. I tried going on a walk yesterday, and got about ten feet and turned around. And the wind must have been blowing less than 10 mph. You are a champion!!!!

I am in love with your top! and that whole punching the air while you run thing, I do that too. without the wind. inside. in a gym. talk about a sight.

I'm glad the wind didn't deter you from taking these pics! I am in love with this outfit!

every single hat I own is off to you for running in the wind. I abhor running in the first place, but if there's even a chance that the devil himself (aka wind) would make it more challenging, you can bet your skimpy running gear I will not engage in that aerobic exercise.

I can relate to the music part though.. I listen to my ipod when walking around downtown and when a sassy song comes on, my already wriggly walk practically becomes a catwalk strut. Judging by the smiles and lingering stares, I'm doing something right.. ;)

It was so windy here too! I had my windows down in my car and I felt like I was going to get blown away! Needless to say, I rolled them back up :]

It was 90 degrees here with no breeze whatsoever, I felt like I was in Mexico! Great 80's inspired post, I have some of my own favorite 80's tunes that I bounce around to :) Fabulous blouse and adore the wedges!!!

Looove the off-the shoulder shirt. Wait, do you live near Fayetteville? I almost went to University of Arkansas, and still hold that little town close to my heart. Sigh.

Gosh, your hair is endlessly amazing. Also, isn't wind a hassle? You look fantastic. I love the sweater + shorts combination. :)
