the calm

4.27
around these parts, we're gearing up not just for the royal wedding (UGH!) but for our annual dogwood festival! it starts tomorrow morning, and the venders started showing up yesterday afternoon. thankfully, the weather is supposed to cooperate. but it's always a fun time, with different craft (and crap) booths, festival food, 5k race, music, and tons of people. my shop will be open all weekend long and i hope to have crazy sales.
so today is the calm before the storm, if you will. or the calm after the literal storm. huh. interesting.......
so i wore my fomaxi pants again. they are just the comfiest things. a wee transparent though. i think it's best i be more careful with these. in one pic (i DELETED it) you could totally see where my underpants ended and my leg began. scandalous.

LOVE the fomaxi pants. For reals. And you styled them like a damn pro with all that gold. Just lovely.

Have a lovely weekend! The festival sounds rad.

Man, you always look cool as a dang cucumber in these seventies silhouettes! And I've actually been on the lookout for some of those kind of grandma-ish slip shorts - like tap pants, but longer - to help out with similarly transparent garments. :)

This outfit may be my favorite outfit that I've seen in quite a long time. I can't believe those are pants! I thought it was a maxi skirt. And the royal wedding is all of the television here. Somehow I got sucked into watching an hour special on William and Kate's history last night. wtf.

I don't think I've ever seen someone with pants like those. They look fantastic! I could never, ever do that look, but you're rockin' it. And the accessories go with it splendidly.

Find me at Just Take a Bow.

I would love to go to a dogwood festival. Every morning on my way to school in the springtime in high school years, I would take a dogwood off of the tree that is near my parents' driveway, put it in my hair, and go to school with it in my hair all day long. I miss that. I want a dogwood tree where I live now.

Anyway this outfit is so so cute. I have a similar hat!

I'm not sure how I failed to comment on this post, despite having read it at least twice. Here I am, making amends!

I love love love this outfit. It's os perfectly you- casual but still very put together and funky. You look amazingly good in that little sweatshirt-y top. I don't know how you make it so sexy and classic at the same time. And then those pants...yes ma'am.
