when i see you smile, i see a ray of light (oh oh)

song of the day: 'when i see you smile' by bad english
i got a hair cut yesterday, can you tell? i was only expecting to cut a little bit and this is what i got. see i'm unlike most people and when i'm at home i think i'll only get a trim, but then when i'm in the salon, i want something crazy and drastic. i was ready to do something wild and cut it all off! it's probably a good thing that my stylist didn't listen to me. i'd be upset otherwise. but i've realized that as much as i want long flowing locks, my hair just isn't right for it. it's sad really.
how about my diy shirt? i bought this top in louisiana and it was just a little intense as a full on sweatshirt so i thought how much i'd love to have an off the shoulder slouchy shirt ala the 80s. out came the scissors (i know, big surprise). it's so comfy and i love it! but it did feel a bit odd and maybe a little trashy last night when i changed into some short soffe shorts, drank a beer straight outta the bottle while ironing matt's shirts with my shoulder all exposed. oh well, this is arkansas.

So this is probably my fave outfit of yours yet. It's so wonderfully 80s while remaining totally trendy and chic. And the pattern on that diy shirt is awesome!

I went in for a hair cut last night too! My hair won't grow... it just won't. So.... I bought extensions and figure on days when I feel the need for long flowing locks I'll just use fake ones!

When I got home I realised that my "hair" was still waaaay too stripper long. So, out came MY scissors! I chopped off another couple of inches. I think I'm relatively happy with the results.

btw... i don't think the haircut is bad!

Love your new haircut! And just in time for summer. Your hair looks thick, I bet it's torture to have it too long in the hot weather!

Love the DIY top! What a great idea :]

I love this look!! You are a great inspiration to me to to look for patterns I like at the thrift store and be creative with scissors and trying new things. And your hair is so freakin' cute!! I love the closeup shot of you - gorgeous!! I'm still trying to get used to my new 'do too. It is so hard :)

Thank you for the sweet comment on my blog yesterday. Yesterday was rough and your words really helped put things in perspective. Also, thank you so much for you consistent comments and support. It really means the world to me and I really appreciate it!! Despite my introversion, I hope to meet you someday to thank you in person!!
