song of the day: 'eye of the tiger' by survivor
this is hands down the best running song on the planet. no matter how tired i am, when this song comes on i get super pumped and start running harder. no wonder rocky was in such great shape with this song playing in the background of his life.
i'm trying to show you how the stitching in my bracelet is the exact same color as my socks, but that didn't work. sorry.
i am so happy for this trend of wearing socks with sandals. my feet are stark white and i look a little funny, like i'm constantly wearing white ankle socks. these sweet little pink ones completely disguise that! yay! plus it gives a shot of color to my plain dress.
i bought this dooney purse the other day at my fav thrift store. i remember going to those at home parties where ladies would buy the fake dooneys. my mom bought one, i think just because she felt like she had to. she never carried it because it was heavy. man, everyone was carrying around those faux bags back then! now i have the real deal and i only paid $6. funny, huh? i'm certain there's a lesson in that somewhere. like, don't get too obsessed with trends and brands because in 15 years someone is going to buy that bag you HAD TO HAVE and SPENT LOADS OF MONEY ON at a thrift store for $6. and then you're gonna be mad. believe me, i totally know about all that. i wanted a coach purse so badly a few years ago. matt bought me one for christmas in 2004 and at the time i was the only one i knew with one. i felt so ritzy carrying that bag around. then, everyone had one and a lot of people had the knock-offs and i got annoyed. i sold it on ebay 2 years ago and got like 50 bucks for it. lame. at least it was more than 6.
totally didn't mean to get off on that tangent.
and today was supposed to be the last day to have your postcards postmarked by, but i'm extending it because i'm super nice. you have til SATURDAY! i know i'm using a lot of caps today. anyway, go out and buy me a postcard, i mean enter the giveaway.

From Carys of La Ville Inconnue
I sent out my postcard yesterday! I love the denim dress and I want want want that vintage belt! I've been eyeing a similar version from Target!
Beautiful dress!!
I love that dress, and those shoes are wonderful! :)
This outfit is great. That bag is great. Your socks are great. YES it is GREAT about the socks and sandals, LOVE it. Great trend. A great inexpensive trend.
Also, I am tired so I am sticking to only one adjective today.
And I so totally agree with you about the bag idea. I so so so wanted a Tiffany charm bracelet. And then I got one, and the enamel on the heart is starting to chip off. They are going to replace it and all that, but still. That thing was expensive!! Makes you think something about storing treasures in heaven hey?
At least that's what I tell myself when I get annoyed when things break, or like you, when EVERYONE has the same expensive thing only I was supposed to have (SEVEN, yes seven, women at my church have the identical leather jacket as me! And I got it first!!!).
Okay, look, your rant sparked my rant. Yep. That's what happened.
I LOVE your dress. Such a good find.
