ah, it's friday! and this is a much more fun friday than normal because matt has the day off. i'm pretty pumped because we're going out to breakfast and to the manna center and he'll be able to keep me company at the shop. and speaking of my shop, i took pictures of it yesterday so i'll be posting those this weekend some time. i'm excited to show you guys what it looks like!
this is the dress that i cut and hemmed totally wrong and so the front is way shorter than the back. i had wanted to fix it but i'm afraid that the back will be too short and then it'll be unwearable. and it's kinda fun to have it asymmetrical. something about it reminds me of stevie nicks. maybe it's the sheer sleeves and the high collar. it has a slight goth feel to it, which i am decidedly not. and i don't really know why i always look so intense in my pictures. i mean, i really am a pretty jovial person, i like to have a good time and i'm usually in a good mood. i think it's harder to smile to an inanimate object. i do tend to smile more when matt takes my pictures for me. i just don't have that connection to the camera i guess. we may need to get to know each other better, maybe go out for drinks first so we can loosen up and then get on with the nitty-gritty.

Very cute! I actually like the dress with it's asymmetrical hem. It gives it a lot of visual interest!
Um yes stevie nicks is awesome. as are those fun pink sock with this!!
Hahhhaahha You cracked me up with the last part :) I think the assymmetric hem looks natural and very nice, so don't worry about it!!! And you're smiling in the first picture I guess :) Loved the dress so much!
I reckon I'd just leave it like that - it looks cool and like it's meant to be longer in the back
What a dress!
This dress is gorgeous!! I absolutley LOVE the sheer sleeves, and I must agree with you. I find it a little awkward to smile @ my camera as well...imagining your pet or child doing something silly in front of you helps though!
The intense thing really works for you, esp in that 3rd photo. Love it. The lighting is awesome, too.
I like you in black - it's definitely a change - you look hot. And not temperature wise.
Oh my gosh, the pops of pink are just too fantastic!
Your shoes and socks look freaking AWESOME. I love your outfit!

I love your outfit! And Heart :)
i love the pink socks with this look!
I think the uneven hem is sassy. Just like you. And I like the intense looks.. makes you resemble a 70's model even more. I seriously can't get over it.. Your hair, your body, the lighting, the locale, your wardrobe.. vintage glamour at it's best. Teach me sensi.
cool!! lovely style!
