song of the day: 'open arms' by journey
isn't this song totally fabulous?! really, the 80s was a wealth of good tunes. i know the indie music scene is all the rage right now, but for real, give me a good 80s ballad and i'll be the happiest girl on the block.
i was complaining about my crap feet yesterday. you see, i was wearing these adorable little sneakers that i do truly love and feel great in and what not, but then i saw calivintage's blog. sigh. she has the amazing jessica simpson dany platforms and i admittedly got jealous. not because she has something i want, but because she obviously has feet that can accommodate those gorgeous shoes. see i have really bad feet. i was lucky enough to inherit bunions from my grandmother (woohoo) and running, while giving me ridiculously toned legs, has produced some pretty gnarly calluses, not to mention the tan lines (yeah i know i complain about them a lot). oh and i have super high arches so most slip on boots don't fit and certain strappy shoes won't buckle across them. so it was with sadness that i looked at my cute little quasi-orthopedic comfort sneakers. sigh. i would consider giving up a kidney to have pretty feet. and those shoes.
so enough complaining already!! it's a beautiful saturday. i am at my shop right now and later we're having dinner guests and somewhere in the middle i'm going to try to get a run in. hope you guys have a wonderful and relaxing day.
