turn out the lights

song of the day: 'the party's over' by willie nelson
they say all good things must end....
sunday was a very sad day in the orcutt household. it began with such promise and excitement. but the patriots lost to the stinking jets thus ending their season and ruining their chances of being super bowl champs. i am still sick about it two days later. it literally makes my stomach hurt. i mean, we made signs, wore our jerseys, had all our patriots stuff out and on display to show our support. and then it all fell apart. ugh. my only hope is that the steelers are ON FIRE come sunday afternoon. sorry, i'm a super geeky football fan.
but in much better news, thanks for entering the giveaway!!! you have until saturday so if you haven't gotten in on the fun yet, there's still time :)
now go have an awesome tuesday!!

Sorry about the game, my dear :( You look wonderful though! Especially the belt...I've been looking for a nice simple belt like that.

I love the last shot a lot. Sorry about your Patriots. I hate the Jets and live in Jets/Giants country. They're crazy here. Honestly I want the steelers to win the super bowl though.

this is totally beside the topic, but I have a question about your chalk board fridge, through your inspiration and mutual hate for bland fridges, I bought the chalk board paint, I am a little concerned though, our fridge has some texture to the vinyl-ish (no clue what material actually covers fridges). Did you fridge have any tecxture?? Did it influence the way the chalkboard looked? pretty please email me at
toniross31@yahoo.com I would love your help/advice.

Loooove this colour combination :)

I have never seen an American football game. But I don't particularly like Australian football so when the Superbowl (had to think about what that was called for a second even though you just mentioned it) is on I don't watch it.

And an awesome Tuesday to you too!
You certainly look it :) Love the little bits of red on your sleeves and the belt you picked for this lovely jacket. Great look!

Ugh, I know how you feel! Boyfriend and I stayed up super late to watch the game from Spain, and they just totally fell apart. So disappointing! We were hoping to get to watch our fourth Pats Superbowl together, but no such luck :(

On the upside, I love this outfit - you've got this awesome mauve-navy-camel colorstory going lately that I absolutely love.

for real STEELERS! i'm a chiefs fan and my husband is a falcon's fan so we are used to disappointment. and i realized that i am more than your average football fan when i wore a longsleeve alabama crimson tide t shirt to church over a dressy blouse and pencil skirt when the tide beat florida.
and i like how your jacket looks structured, but cozy wrapped and belted.

I totally LOLed at your jets comment the other night. I know some of my friends were using the same sentiments on facebook;)

Anyways, aside from football, you are looking excellent in your blazer with the belting.

So, I totally love this. Somehow, the addition of black tights just pushes it over from awesome to way effing awesome.

Also, I love how into football you are! I'm with Lisa, re: the Bears, though.
