song of the day: by procol harum
i had such a lovely long weekend. school was out on thursday and friday and even matt got to stay home from work. now i know that you northerners scoff at our 'snow days,' but we don't get them very often and so when it does snow, it's a BIG DEAL. but we slept in, spent the days relaxing and thrifting, and the evenings cooking tasty food, sipping wine and watching movies. sound delightful? well it was.
now it's monday. lame.
i took these pictures from the car. the sky was wonderfully cloudy and the trees were drab and bare. i thought it was gorgeous.
matt rockin out the handlebars. his brother in law said he looked like a police officer from nevada. i laughed SO hard at that.

Hi, I have dedicated a post to your site in my vintage collection:

Hope you like.
Greetings
Your weekend sounds perfect. And these pictures are just breathtaking! The light, the color, the muted landscape. I love it.
That is one sweet mustache!
Very Reno 911....
It takes alot up here for a snow day to be called....my mom lives in the NC and they close schools when there is even a forecast of snow.
And yes, I am totally jealous of that.
hahah! matt does have a Reno 911 look here :)
Oh man, that weekend does sound delightful! The one thing I really miss about my pre-traveling lifestyle (other than the puppy) is some low-key, weekend thrifting.... sigh. Ah well, at least I still have wine and movies.
It may be Monday, but at least that skirt is super fabulous, the blue sweatshirt looks great with the olive jacket, and the mood in these photos is a perfect dreamy-gray. So at least there's that :)

goodness I'd be so cold in shoes like that and a skirt like that. you are a brave one!! yet you do look so warm too!!!
Take any excuse to have some extra family time, even if you only got a couple of inches of snow.
Handlebars and NV cops...HA!
