song of the day: 'why' by annie lennox
back to the grind. school is in session, my shop is open, matt's commuting to work and we're back to normal life. why is it always so hard??? *sigh*
anyways, this is a dress i bought while thrifting in florida. after ripping out the huge shoulder pads, i really love it! plus it was half off, so it only cost me about $3. i love thrift store sales.
i also got these shoes while on vacation! we did a little shopping down in miami and urban outfitters was having a 50% off everything on sale sale. awesome! i got myself some pretty good deals while i was away.
and i just want to thank you all for the wonderful comments about the house! it was such a fun project for me and the fact that i spent so much time overseeing every detail, it really means a lot to hear that you guys like it. i mean, our home is such a reflection of who we are and i wanted to make sure that i filled it with things i love and have meaning to me. that's what makes a house a home. not brand new, super sleek, uber modern things, but carefully chosen people and items that you can't live without :)

I think these shoes look so great with the whole outfit. I think you did a great job in only spending $3 for it too!! wow. Sorry about the commuting issues. Much love!

I love the dress! Thrift store sales are the best. I love going to Salvation Army on their half-off days. I usually go about an hour before they close and it's great because no one is there and all the good stuff is half the price!

I love your dress! I have a thing for Peter Pan collars at the moment, haha.

I love your dress! I just got a really similar one at Salvation Army recently--I'm obsessed with going there on wednesday... half-off all clothes every single week!

I also just wanted to tell you that your blog is one of my favorites. I'm so glad that I found it :)

SO much outfit envy right now. That dress is perfect, and just yesterday I was trying to find some two-tone oxfords in my size. No luck.
