did you notice the new little thingy in my sidebar? the honor of 'style icon' was bestowed upon me for this month on chictopia. i was super surprised, but terribly flattered by it. especially with everything else that's going on, it's kind of a nice boost. plus this is a special month for me, which will be talked about some time later on. not now, cuz i'm not quite ready to face it just yet.
yesterday i met with a lady who is going through her husband's grandmother's estate, getting ready to sell her house and everything in it. she so generously let me have first pick of the clothing that filled every closet of that house! oh my. there were so many gems in that place. i wish i could've gotten all of it, but the pieces i did choose are pretty fantastic. i got a few coats, these shoes i'm wearing, a couple dresses, a fantabulous leopard print fur muff, and a few other things. all in amazing condition. i have so many great things to add to the shop soon. and i will do it, i promise. i know i tend to say that i have stuff and then not follow through with the listing part, but i will. thankfully, me and this lady were not the same size because i would be tempted to keep everything! you're in for a treat. for reals.
