i was hoping we could challenge each other

song of the day: 'i was hoping' by alanis morissette
took the camera out on a field trip yesterday. not very far though. this bridge is behind our house. not terribly picturesque but it's still a different view of my world. i'm determined to do more of that. my little town is kinda cute and i'd like to show you some of my favorite places. i'll work on it, k?
we went to the pool yesterday and that marked the first time all season that i wore a bathing suit. why do i hate wearing those things? i feel all self-conscious and awkward in them. for one thing, my tan lines make me look ridiculous and really i just don't get out enough in one to get over my weirdness. maybe next year.
and i know that a lot of people have a formspring and whatnot. i'm not to the point where i want to completely open myself up to questions that way, but do you have anything you want to know about me? i'm a fairly open book so there's not much that's off limits. but if you do have a burning question, ask away. i'd love to know what you guys would like to know :)

This dress is great! I love that it's a little bit different in style to the outfits you normally post. And fun location too, I really like seeing what people's hometowns look like since I have explored so many of them this year. My favorites were in Michigan: http://dearfishvintage.blogspot.com/2010/08/last-of-epic-road-trip.html, but there are so many awesome little towns in America!
I think it's so inspiring that you have an actual brick and mortar vintage store. So my question is, how did that come about? Had you been wanting to start one for awhile before you did it? And did you see the storefront and just know that it was perfect, or did you have to look around a lot for the right place?

Wow, I thought I was the only person who put on a bathing suit this weekend for the first time this summer. Not a fan of the bathing suit either. I know we share a love for the Outlander series, so what I want to know is what is your favorite book other than that?

I wish we could be real life freinds! I share in your same fear of wearing bathing suits and I finally just bought one 2 weeks ago that I love and dont mind wearing! (mainly because it covers me up!) I also loveeee this dress on you and you look so cute - I cant wait to see more pictures around where you live. I need to do that too. I am so stuck on my brick wall, its time to venture out. You have inspired me! And alanis morissette? Gosh - in lovee!!
