song of the day: 'when doves cry' by prince
i feel as though i've gotten a bit of my equilibrium back. you know how you get those freak out days every once in while? well it was less a 'freak out' than it was a reflective day. anyway, i got quite a bit of encouragement yesterday and now i'm feeling more settled. at least for now, we'll see how the rest of the day goes!
i wore something similar to this while in new york. i never posted the photos because, well frankly, they were bad. i decided to try it again today and i think that they turned out better this time around. it's that crop top that i cut from a dress and a little black number that i shortened. it was a good thing i spent most of my day in doors cuz polyester is not the best in 100 degree weather. we are under some manner of heat advisory until tomorrow. temps at around 100 and heat index of about 110 until thursday, then we get a break with temps in the upper 90s. i know, a cold front! which, speaking of polyester in the heat, yesterday morning while running (it was already about 85) i passed a little old lady walking her dog decked out in a hat, polyester pants, shirt, and jacket! i was seriously concerned that she might get overheated and pass out on the street. i mean, doesn't she know that the elderly are more susceptible to heat stroke?!?! oh well, she did have a smile on her face.

cute look! Very fun silhouette! And glad you are feeling better! I have had a coupled of those days lately too! Never really any reason for it...But I try to remind myself that somedays I am just annoyed when it is those days and that it won't last. But usually that just annoys me more!

Anyway, you look LOVELY.

I love the black skirt with the fun pops of color. And I feel your pain about the heat--the temperature past the 100 degree mark every day for the past couple of days. Ick.

Love your outfit! Polyester is definitely not a friend of mine in the heat!

What a tough old lady huh? When I played tennis in high school, my coach wore long sleeves, windpants, and a hat that had a cover to go over the back of his neck. In over 100 degree weather in the middle of the day! But he had to do it because he had skin cancer before and he was just being safe. I could never do that though.

That top is so amazing, the pattern, colors, everything!! I don't know how you run in such dangerous temps, I hope you have one of those bandoleer-o-waters!!
