it's friday!!! another weekend and this one will be filled with football. just doesn't get better than that.
but of course this weekend marks a pretty significant milestone in this country's history. we all remember where we were 10 years ago on the morning of september 11, 2001. i had skipped my first class to sleep in. as i walked down the stairs in the house i was sharing with 4 other girls, they were already gathered in the living room around the tv. the first thing they said was 'the world is ending!' and the truth is that our world hasn't been the same ever since. i still get emotional at seeing the images from that day. i can't fathom what it was like to be in nyc, washington dc, or even that small town in pennsylvania to experience the horror firsthand. my heart goes out to all those who lost loved ones. and i am so thankful to the men and women who keep us safe.
