i know your eyes in the morning sun

bridge
song of the day: 'how deep is your love' by the bee gees
siloam has miles of walking trails all through town with these really cute little bridges that span the creek. i run on these trails and over these bridges all the time and thought it would be nice to take pictures of them. this isn't my favorite one. i'll have to get matt to take those pictures because the location is a bit more awkward. but i love how quaint these bridges are. i love the sound my feet make when i run across them. i love to hear the water flowing underneath them. it just feels very charming to me. and i do live in a very charming little corner of the world.
but let me just tell you about this couple that was totally scoping me out the whole time i was taking my outfit shots! so funny. the lady was outside doing something by their deck when i got to the bridge. i set up my tripod and checked out the frame of the photo and then i walked in front of the camera and saw that she was staring at me. bold faced staring. not even turning away when i looked over. then she and her dude came walking over, pretending to look at flowers and stuff along the path. i said 'hi' and tried to be cordial whilst they were completely in my shot so i had to wait. then they got to the end of the bridge, turned around and started walking back home. not to judge or anything, but they didn't look the type to go on a walk at 8:30 am for health's sake. they were totally just nosing around trying to figure out what the heck i was doing. but i just boldly kept snapping away once they left the bridge. i am SO not the shy little gal that i was a few weeks ago! love it. i guess that's what happens when you get older :)
i have to talk about these jeans though. i love them so very much. i'd been looking for a pair of high waisted wide leg jeans all over the place. i finally found them on ebay! i had a gift card for my birthday so i used it to buy these. i've just never been so thrilled with a pair of jeans. i fell for their back pocket detail and the denim is so soft and comfortable. and the brand is 'disco jeans.' isn't that so awesome?! don't be surprised if start dancing ala 'saturday night fever' before the day is done.

2 feats of bravery here.
1. posing in front on staring strangers
2. buying jeans off ebay

Sure sounds like you're growing up big and strong!

Haha great story! I still get a little shy, but I think if I had someone blatantly staring me, I'd ham it up a bit ;)

Those jeans are such an amazing find! They look great on you too. That's funny about your nosy onlookers. Nothing makes me want to go somewhere else like someone watching me take pictures. I need to man up!

you couldn't look more perfect!! I just can't believe these jeans! They are well worth the hunt! And that story about the couple staring at you is hilarious. Oh what they must think! Its great! They probably think you are an artist! AND WELL, you are. so there, couple. I have been looking for a little fur collar all over this city I live in. thinking i may have to actually search ebay or etsy for one and pay a little more than I want to. Do you by chance have any in your shop you might sell?

That first photo is stunning. Give it a vintage effect and it could be straight out of the 70s... my favorite. Love the jeans.
