don't drink the water

sager
song of the day: 'don't drink the water' by dave matthews band
siloam used to be pretty famous for its natural springs that were thought to have healing properties, which is how it got its name. soon after these springs were discovered, people came from all around to reap the benefits. now, we've discovered that there are gross things in the water and no one is really going to live forever by bathing in or drinking it. however, it's still a huge part of our city. sager creek (named after its founder) winds around historic downtown and up behind the university. that's where i took these photos. the jogging trail runs right along side here and i absolutely love this area. i will have you know that my hands were numb by the time i got back in my car though. it was so cold! it is most definitely fall now.

I am most definitely NOT sick of the boots. I LOVE them. And that dress? Oh sigh, why did I not buy one like it the other day? Why? Now I have to go back and get it.

LOVE all the location photos you have been doing. And it is so funny, your Fall took so much longer to get to you and is now so much colder than ours! But it is very temperate here...doesn't get too hot (34 degrees -93 F- the absolute highest) and not too cold (almost never below freszing usually about 6c -42 f- the lowest in the winter).

Also, I am ordering a vintage Dooney & Bourke purse online because you have so inspired me with yours...flaunting it...making me want one. ;-)

The dress is fabulous. It so wonderful to have parks around. I'm so sad that people have contaminated your water there. Its too cold to pose outside here in New York too. Lovely fall colors, though all around the country.
