matilda is excited for the beginning of september coming up in a few days. august is a tough month to spend your days in front of a large window with the sun spilling in on you all the time. plus, she's kind of a diva :)

matilda enjoyed the back to school excitement this last week. you know, where you feel the anticipation of a new year, making new friends, and what's being served in the lunch room. although she won't be hitting the books this fall (and i hear about it ALL THE TIME), she's all about trying out the latest trends.

matilda's getting a little sad that the summer is coming to an end. she's really enjoyed wearing pretty sundresses and basking in the warm sun. pretty soon, she'll have to start bundling up because the shop has old drafty windows and it can get a little breezy up there. but she's enjoying it while it lasts.

matilda is slowly transitioning from summer to 'back to school.' she's wanting to layer more and has even asked for a backpack! i know, silly girl. she's been hinting about maybe wanting to take some classes at the community college. this is still under discussion....

matilda had a great week. she got to model a lot of clothes for the etsy store and two of the three dresses she wore in the window sold! she loves it when that happens. and when matilda's happy, i'm happy :)

last week was a very good one for amandromeda. matilda likes to take credit for it since she's basically my marketing manager and general front woman being that she stands in the window for all to see. if she's having a good day then the store has a good day. sometimes she gets a big head about it, but then i gently remind her that she has no head. she's typically fairly quiet after that :)

matilda's been beating the heat with pretty little dresses. and apparently looking so good in them that they sell right off of her! this is good business for me, mind, but a little awkward for matilda having to disrobe in the front window for all to see. i think she secretly likes it. matilda's got a wild side you know :)

i had my first double sale this week. i felt soooo bad! on thursday, someone bought this black dress in my store and within minutes it also sold on etsy. thankfully, the girl that bought it online was super gracious. i love awesome customers!

of course matilda reminded me that only one double sale in 2 1/2 years isn't all that bad. and i had to agree with her. man, i hate it when she's right!

so with that said, the black dress is no longer available, but this terry cloth number is still in the shop!

happy 4th of july from matilda! go have a great time hanging with friends, soaking up the summer sun, and being thankful for the sacrifices of the men and women who formed our nation and made it what it is today.

matilda and isaiah are getting to be pretty good buddies. yeah, occasionally they bicker and fight, but for the most part they get along well. which is good. otherwise this would be a very long and stressful summer.

so a lot of what's seen here won't hit the etsy shop until tuesday. but oh my i have some goodies that i'll be listing in the coming weeks!!

matilda is loving summer. she likes to be casual and keep things simple. matilda's just one of the girls and likes to have fun :) and talk on the phone, hang out with her friends, read racy novels, and shop. and shoes!! boy does she love shoes.

summer is in full swing and matilda only wanted to wear flowy dresses. she told me it gets awfully hot in that front window. i told her i don't pay her to complain. she said i don't pay her at all. i said exactly.

but the polka dot dress is already available in the shop and the burgundy one will be in there this week! yay!

matilda's looking forward to the holiday here in the states. she got all dolled up in her patriotic colors. she's proud to be an american :)

matilda was very lazy last week. she didn't much feel like dressing up. she kept mumbling about the weather and how no one was going to care if she got all fancy because all it did was rain. i mean, i totally get it. i didn't really feel like doing much either. i just wish she'd complain a bit less!

matilda's been dreaming of a vacay on the african plains lately. she keeps hinting that i need to give her some time off because she's been working too hard and making too many appearances on the blog. but you know, she really only stands around so i don't know what she's talking about.

and i'm so excited to show you my new dudes section in the shop!! i've finally given the men their own little space. and you know, it's definitely paid off. i'm hoping to add more to it in the next couple months. like maybe even selling cigars??? it's kinda matt's dream.

and i've been making new clothing tags too! been such a busy lady lately, my stars. i think i need the vacay. matilda can just chill out! but i fully admit to flat out STEALING this idea from merl. she made tags like this when we went to TxSCC in austin. it's just cut up cereal boxes that would go in the recycle bin anyway and leftover fabric! i LOVE them :)

and i updated the etsy shop last night. and most of what you see on matilda is available right now! woohoo!
