last week, matt and his dad traveled to bolivia, south america.  matt and his family lived in santa cruz for about 8 years as missionaries in santa cruz.  they went down to shoot videos for the mission and to send out to supporters.  this is just a wee go-pro vid from a day of driving around.

turtleneck

i love turtlenecks.  i'm just like my mother and when the temperatures drop, my neck goes into hibernation.  there's nothing worse than a cold breeze infiltrating my outer garments to freeze out my sensitive warm parts.  and the great thing about this particular turtleneck sweater is that it's not so tight that it clings to me like a long lost relative.  no strangling, no foul.  i think i've worn it about 5 times in the last few weeks.  so rest assured, you'll see this again.  i may need to locate another trusted turtleneck and more hoodies.  the comfort of my neck depends on it.

So. I meant to blog this like a long time ago but I've been sans computer this whole week. I commandeered my sister's iPad while spending an amazing thanksgiving with family. Good heavens I'm blessed. Hope you all have a great weekend :)

plaid, toggle coat, and leopard print: such a preppy look for me, no?  i wore this to have dinner with friends.  the mercury plummeted over the weekend and i was kinda excited to pull out this cozy wool coat that i bought last spring.  a local consignment store was having a 75% off sale and i spied this guy over in the kid section.  turns out it fit and i love the cropped sleeves oh so very much.  and at a cool $5 it would have been just maniacal to pass up.  so in an effort to not be crazy, i snagged the little navy toggle coat from the boys section and laughed all the way to the register.

it's a tacky christmas, charlie brown

it's beginning to look a lot like christmas......
as you are all well aware, christmas seems to come earlier and earlier each year and frankly you can never be too prepared.  that's why the creative folks at skip n' whistle are launching their tacky christmas sweater tee sale today!  over at fab.com you have the first look at this year's line of shirts.  and my oh my, i'm diggin these tees something fierce.  i'm feeling quite certain i may need the one with the unicorn.  anyway, act fast kids these are gonna fly off the virtual shelves.  and if you can't make it to the sale in time, you can always check out their etsy shop for a tee to wow the peeps at your next dirty santa get together.

peace and punk rock

over the weekend, matt went to a flaming lips concert with some dudes.  apparently, it was a pretty rad time complete with balloons and confetti.  i saw the pics.  but he came home and said 'i got the best shirt at the concert.  you need to do a post about it.'  so this is the shirt.  softest tee on the planet and i was told that the band members themselves screen printed the graphic.  and who doesn't love peace and punk rock?
