i wore this on saturday.  we went to hang out with friends to grill and chill.  we ended up dancing like a bunch of fools and today my calf muscles are so sore!!  apparently i'm not as young as i used to be.  
and just like the rest of the world, we're watching a lot of olympics coverage.  the swimming events are my favorite this week and i'm super looking forward to track and field next week.  what do you guys like to watch??

pattern play

i am quite certain i've never put this many differing prints on my body at one time.  i can't decide if i'm daringly cool with my pattern play or if i'm venturing into the realm of total crazy.  i think i'm going to stick with 'daringly cool.'  if for no other reason than i like to make myself feel good about my fashion choices.

making movie magic

just a little behind the scenes sneaky peek of a film project that matt and i got the opportunity to work on with a friend.  i think it's gonna be sheer genius.  i will keep you posted to when it goes live.  you should know, i smoke an electronic cigarette and sing.  you guys are in for a treat :)

ana v.

i love the story behind vintage clothes.  even when you don't know the the whole tale.  take this blazer, for instance.  it belonged to ana v.  i picture her in the nursing home, sitting in the common room reading a book or playing cards with her friends.  i see her family come to visit and each time they bring ana a new shirt or jacket, they lovingly put her name in it so the old biddy down the hall won't lift it and pass it off as her own awesome lacy blazer.

jump dress

i like to pretend i'm wearing a jumpsuit when i wear this dress.  kinda doesn't make sense, but you get where i'm coming from right?  i totally dig it's 80s-ness.  makes me think of charlie from top gun.  maybe i should watch that movie again.  but it always makes me cry.  RIP goose.

rooftop weekend

we had a nice relaxing weekend.  i worked at the shop, got new running shoes, sipped some bourbon on the deck, watched the sun shine through the rain, listened to music, and took a sunday nap.  not too shabby.  here's hoping monday turns out just as lovely.
