no they are not tattoos

3/18
this is from last week when i had to take my beloved in for his surgery. did i tell you matt had surgery on his finger? well he did. poor guy has a soft cast halfway up his left arm :( but it was so funny because i had to take him to the center i used to work in. did i tell you i used to be a nurse assistant? well i was. anyway, he was well taken care of. if not, those folks at north hills woulda had a very angry lady after them.

i love how it looks like i'm growing out of the flower bed in this picture. every single time i wear these tights, i get the funniest looks and comments. but, alas, this was their last day out. my bracelet ripped a huge hole in the thigh and i am not a ripped tights wearing gal. some trendy ladies look awesome in them. me? no.

lacey love

harness1
matt won the 'best husband in the universe' award yesterday when he gave me this gorgeous harness. this beauty is handmade by the ever-so-lovely merl of clydes rebirth. you should go to her etsy and check out some of her other pieces. but beware, you will want every single one you see. and here is the link to see a better close-up of the lacey love as i could not get one that was satisfactory with my remote and tripod in 50 degree weather wearing a sleeveless dress. but i wanted to first show you the harness with something a bit more worthy of such a phenomenal piece of jewelry than my normal stuff.

each piece is lovingly wrapped in a vintage scarf and this is the one i got. i love it!!! it's beautiful and i can't wait to wear it with something too.
scarf
at first i put this on over my american apparel gray tee and by golly it looked awesome with that too. you'll probably be seeing it that way a lot. this is just how i'd wear it if i were to go out on a date with the 'best husband in the universe' award recipient.
i instantly felt fabulously sexy and glamorous. i love it when that happens. when i get something new that makes me feel amazing. so thanks, merl, for being a bloody genius and picking out such a beautiful scarf to wrap it in. and, matt, thank you for everything that you are.

up on the roof

here is matt on the roof of the salon next door to us. the yellow chairs are on our deck and the wall in the background is the outside of our building. i love that he totally supports me in everything i do and that he even wants to contribute to this blog. he has a pretty rad style all his own. i convinced him to start a chictopia account. there's such a small male representation out there.

pearls and peeptoes

i rarely wear heels because they tend to hurt my feet too much but these have a low profile so i can stand them longer than most. and i really love the peeptoe! but this is what i wore at my shop today. i didn't make it clear in my meet and greet post, but my shop is called amandromeda. that is my name on chictopia. i use it for everything. it dates back to high school and that was quite some time ago! but here we are on our way out between rain showers. it rained all day so we had to wait until almost dark to take outside pictures. i really want to do more of them. i haven't posted one outside pic on chictopia, but i am determined to start. the handsome fella in the last pic is my husband matt. he's posed in front of his '82 volkswagon rabbit that we call "high life." i'm chilling in front of my '84 mercedes named "pauli girl." we do love our cars.
the first picture is right outside our front door. we live above a flower shop. i love how the stop sign in the background glows like the sun. but isn't my street charming?
