i have never really been into bold color. i'll try it for a while, then slowly revert back to my old neutral loving ways. but, lately i've been smitten with the brightly colored pants i've seen on street style websites and other blogs. i even bought a pair a couple weeks ago at my favorite thrift store. i can't wait to try them out just as soon as the weather cooperates. right now, i'd probs burst into flames if i put them things on.

yes. i am wearing my striped shirt again. but don't think of it as overwearing a particular garment. no, just think of it as my own personal remix challenge. k?

actually, i was inspired by an outfit that coury from fancy treehouse wore. i love the fanciful way she wears her clothes. she puts together the most brilliant color combinations, and truly has fun with her style. but anyway, i basically stole this idea from her :)

and i got all the way over here to take pictures, and then realized i didn't have the tripod attachment for the camera rendering the tripod completely useless. and because i'm super lazy, i didn't want to walk back home to get it. so i just propped the camera up on various ledges. i was so nervous that the thing would topple over! which explains the very concerned look on my face....and the awkward angles.

anddddddddd..........i have an iphone app!!!!!!!!!! matt created one for me and just yesterday, it was accepted by apple. you can see the blog, my etsy store, and my flickr favorites right from the app. so please, run don't walk over to the app store if you have an iphone/ipod touch/ipad! i think it's kinda cool :)

i gather LOADS of inspiration from various blogs and other style sites and then hoard them over in my flickr. and since i couldn't be bothered by actually getting dressed yesterday, i thought i'd share some of my favorite outfits i've seen over the last couple weeks. i love when other blogs do this because there's almost always a chance that i'll discover someone new. i think i'll make this a regular thing :)

i'll be back to my regular posting tomorrow but i thought i'd show you some incredibly awesome and inspiring outfits from frida. i found her on lookbook and just today realized she had a blog too! it kills me that she's only 17. jeepers, when i was 17 i was a senior in high school, in the marching band, and about 20 lbs heavier than i am right now. yeah. so you can imagine how jealous i am seeing how put together and gorgeous this young lady from sweden is.

you get to wade through a bunch of pictures today. lucky! we went out on the roof again last night. lately, we've had the most horrible weather. there will be intermittent storms and sticky, humid sunshine. right now, there is a storm going on that makes me fear for my life. see the roof i take pictures on is actually on top of the salon that is right next door. i can't get on top of my roof, plus it's metal. yeah, a metal roof, in a thunderstorm with hail, not too much fun. i have to yell to be heard. but all that to say, the evenings have been beautiful!

my top is a skirt that i bought at target. i like it and all but it really needed a shake up. a couple days ago, paige (who's one of my new bff's) from barefoot & vintage wore a skirt as a strapless top and i told her that i was going to steal her idea. after haggling over the price of borrowing the rights to the look, we settled on just a mention of her and her mad fashion skillz and her adorable etsy store. thanks paige, for the idea!

ok, so i am supposed to run a half marathon tomorrow morning, but am slightly concerned it may get rained out and/or canceled because the city of tulsa had some wicked weather yesterday and is still largely without power. it's possible i may cry if i don't get to run. but i guess i should keep it in perspective, i mean they are having to clean up after a couple of tornadoes ravaged their city.

oh and one of the 'exciting things' will be revealed in a little while (hint, hint).
