i'm ready to go.  
heading to austin this morning for texas style council!  laura and i are hitting the open road, geared up for good times and cool jams.  so excited to get inspired and refreshed.  if you're going, see you soon!  if not, then i'll be back here on tuesday with more stories to tell than there are minutes in the day :)

the little things

such a lovely weekend.  we had dinner with friends, warm sunshine, fun days, and relaxing nights.  pretty perfect.
and i was super excited to get my in pink order in the mail on friday.  all texas style council attendees received a gift card to spend on really cute jewelry and frankly i wasted no time in spending mine.  i basically planned my entire outfit around my ring.  sometimes it's the little things that can change everything.  like, i've never worn this jacket all buttoned up as a shirt.  the ring made me do it.  i'm pretty sure it has magical powers.  i'm diggin' it.

last month i participated in taking a photo of a certain subject each day on instagram.  a lot of people did it, some finished the month out and others did not.  and while there were times when it was tedious, i was determined to take a photo each day.  and really, it was kinda cool.  it forces you to think creatively about a mundane, every day thing.  i may just do it again this month :)

double knit

on this day, the sun was warm but the wind was brisk.  it felt like the perfect time to wear knitted things with strappy shoes.  and i must say that i am in love with the length of this skirt.  the hem falls just past what we now trendily call 'midi' and a touch short of what we consider to be 'maxi.'  it's a good longer length for me.  i must needs find more of these :)
and the shoes are fast becoming my favorites.  they have kind of an edgy vibe going, which i like.  and the wedge isn't so high that i'm in pain within 30 minutes of wear.  all of these are wins in my book.
