if you get caught between the moon and new york city

song of the day: 'arthur's theme' by christopher cross
i had every intention of blogging before now, but time has managed to slip through my fingers. a new york minute? more like a second. it's been so much crazy fun so far. yesterday, matt and i went into the city to hang out and shop. we are staying about an hour's train ride away so we came out of grand central ready for action. we started out at a cute little deli on madison ave and had sandwiches and salad. after fueling up, we hit h&m and urban outfitters pretty hard since there isn't one within 200 miles of our house. the city is fairly warm right now and since we walked everywhere, we took refuge in a bar for a while and went into central park to rest our tired feet.

and i was lucky enough to get a chance to meet mel from idee geniale yesterday!!! we met up after mel got off work and it was so great to finally meet her after stalking her blog for so long. by the way, she is so fun and nice and cool and cute and pretty and stuff. she took us to a crazy indian restaurant in the village and it was trippy and rad. you couldn't even stand up without hitting your head on the pepper lights that hang from the ceiling. such great atmosphere. we talked a ton and even matt was able to get a word in from time to time.

here are a few pics of us after dinner.

Ok, first of all, those pictures are so great! even though I look like a valley girl in the first one.i think we were laughing because you asked my if you had wine teeth then I aske dif you smiled with your teeth because it wouldn't matter if you did. I just wanted to clear that up for the following commenters that might be reading my comment because as we discssed over dinner, we all do it! especially when its a long ass one.

anywho, it was so nice to meet you and your hubby!!it was a pleasure hanging out with you guys and hopefully i'll come out and visit you in your airstream. k? (that's what the silver bullet is called right?)
